The John Mellencamp "Live and In Person 2023 Tour" was scheduled to stop at the Palace Theatre in Albany on Tuesday June 13, 2023. Today we received word that the show has now been cancelled. Just over 24 hours before showtime and the news hit that it's just not happening. Not postponed, cancelled.

At approximately 8am on Monday June 12th we received an email from the show's promoter with the following statement.

John Mellencamp’s sold out Live and In Person Tour on June 13 at the Palace Theater in Albany is cancelled. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.

Mellencamp just played 3 shows at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan (June 5th, 6th and 7th) and he is scheduled to play Syracuse June 14th and Buffalo on June 16th. No word on the status of the Syracuse or Buffalo show at this time.

John Mellencamp has some of his paintings on display at the New York Academy of Art in Manhattan until November 15, 2023 and his new album "Orpheus Decending" is due this month.
