The Lake George Winter Carnival is kicking off February 1st and the schedule of events is out.

Every year since 1961 Lake George has hosted the Winter Carnival, with all kinds of fun for all ages.   With events every weekend over the month of February, from a hot chocolate bar on the beach to the official Opening Ceremonies and a polar plunge, the Winter Carnival helps to make the cold weather a little bit more enjoyable.

The Opening Ceremonies themselves kick off at noon on the first Saturday of the event, February 1st.  The day is full of events like outhouse races, tie-dyed T-shirt making, and a parade.  Following that is a month full of weekend fun, concluding with a day of pond hockey and car races on the ice the last Sunday of the month.  It seems like a whole lot of winter fun, and you can see an easy-to-read schedule of events here!
