According to the Suffolk County Police Department, a 13-year-old girl found a blade inside of a 3 Musketeers bar. This specific piece of candy is what they call "fun size" so it is small but imagine the harm this could have caused if not found.

Suffolk County Police report that the girl had been trading Halloween candy with other students at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School in East Setauket, NY making it difficult to discover which student the candy came from.

Poisoned candy, needles in candy and razor blades in candy have been found, over the years, to result in some type of hoax. There have been cases of death with an attempt to cover up the murder by blaming poisoned candy. Other times needles and blades were planted in a scheme to get money. What will come of this case?

The Suffolk County Police Department is reminding parents to check their children’s Halloween candy. You don't want to play this one off as a hoax only to find a blade in YOUR candy.
