The MLB is back, and Governor Cuomo is offering to host "any major league baseball game that any teams want to play" (CBS 6 Albany) in New York.  Now please, I want your opinion on this one.

Really, because it's getting so hard to keep up with the latest news, restrictions, lock-downs. Sometimes I start to think I'm crazy watching the news and all of the updates.  So here's the latest I gathered about the MLB, this situation, and my thoughts.

Governor Cuomo seems to be starting to crack down more on New York again.  There's of course the whole thing with the bars and the drinks and the 'Cuomo Chips' (because you can't just get drinks anymore, you need food as well).  Then of course there's the travel restrictions and quarantine, with even more states being recently added.  There's of course the 'no mask no service' policy at places like Wal-Mart and Stewart's.  Like I said, it's hard to keep up.

Let me just say I'm in no way against keeping people healthy or keeping the Capital Region safe.  But, it does strike me as odd that as New York seems to tighten it's grips a little bit more, Governor Cuomo is openly inviting any MLB team to play in New York.  Especially when only a week in 17 players on the Miami Marlins tested positive for Coronavirus.  The MLB situation has even been described as a 'huge mess' by USA Today Sports.

According to CBS 6 Albany, one of Cuomo's rationales for inviting any team and any MLB game to New York is that it would keep people out of bars and going out, and at home watching the games.  I don't buy it.  I'm a huge baseball fan, and a die-hard Yankees fan.  Baseball frankly makes me WANT to go to a sports pub to watch.  Also, if the citizens of New York are getting more and more restrictions again to prevent the spread, why invite in any team and any game in a sport that's currently trying to manage and mitigate a coronavirus mess one week in.  So let me know, how do you feel about this?
