Indonesian flick 'The Raid' was a surprise hit with its totally insane action sequences, and while we've been somewhat wary of an American remake, this first bit of casting news has us feeling a little more confident. A shortlist was floated around a while back, and now we know at least one of those names has officially joined up: 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' star Frank Grillo.

We feel bad for everyone involved with the upcoming remake of 'The Raid.' Then again, they brought this uphill battle on themselves when they set out to make an American version of the wildest, craziest and most giddily violent action movie of the past decade. We feel especially bad for Patrick Hughes, who is currently in negotiations to direct the westernized version.
