Aerosmith Will Not Play American Idol Finale

American Idol Judge and Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler has said several times that Aerosmith will play the American Idol finale.  It appears now that the band will NOT play American Idol finale.

According to the Boston Herald, Aerosmith representatives told American Idol producers that the band will be unable to perform.    Sources close to the band said that four members have no interest in playing.

No official reason was given but according to a post on Joe Perry's facebook page - he stated the band was never asked by the shows producers and Brad has a prior obligation with the Hendrix Experience.
