My mother grew up in Saranac Lake, New York, and our summer vacations were spent in her hometown. It was a regular part of our summer to travel from Western New York to the Adirondacks. The best memories I have from being a kid include exploring the mountains, hiking, and fishing! Fast forward to the present day, and my wife and our kids have continued that tradition by including a trip to the mountains every summer.

While the fall is an excellent time to visit, winter draws thousands to the Adirondacks. For those who love winter sports and snow, Whiteface Mountain is a regular destination.
