The Buffalo Bills play meaningful games in just a few days.

The Bills travel to the Meadowlands to play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. It's a Monday Night Football broadcast, meaning it will air on Channel 7 locally.

The Bills roster on paper looks as good or arguably better than 2022...but the Bills have not been a popular pick by many national media members to make it to the Super Bowl. Some even have then missing the postseason altogether.

The expectations with the Bills and the fans in Western New York is to win the division, which they have done for three straight seasons. The Bills released their first depth chart of 2023 on Wednesday and there's one interesting thing about it.

Second-year linebacker Terrel Bernard is listed as the starting middle linebacker on the depth chart, ahead of veteran Tyrel Dodson.

Bernard was hurt towards the end of training camp but the Baylor product showed enough to be out there against the Jets and Aaron Rodgers.

The Bills signed veteran and former Houston Texans starting MLB Christian Kirksey last week. He's on the practice squad but could eventually be elevated and signed to the active roster -- it all depends on injuries and what Bernard shows at the start.

Ryan Van Demark is listed as the primary backup at left tackle, with Ryan Bates as the backup center and second-year undrafted free agent Alec Anderson as the primary backup right guard.

The rest of the depth chart is rather unsurprising, but Christian Benford is listed above Kaiir Elam and Dane Jackson at cornerback.

Elam was the Bills' first round pick in 2022 but has been outplayed by Benford and Jackson, as both have gotten more first-team reps in camp and practice.

Taron Johnson will be the nickel corner, and Tre-Davious White as the top corner. Benford will play opposite White and Elam and Jackson are now technically the fourth and fifth CB's on the depth chart.
