It has been no secret that the NFL's Arizona Cardinals have been a bit of a mess lately. They are stuck with a talented-but-immature quarterback in Kyler Murray. So, after firing head coach Kliff Kingbury, the team is shopping their star wide receiver that was suspended for half the season.

As reported by friend of The Drive with Charlie & Dan, Ryan Talbot of syracuse.com, that star receiver sent Buffalo Bills fans into a "frenzy" on Wednesday night.

That star wide receiver is DeAndre Hopkins and he took the post down shortly after firing up Bills Mafia. That may have been more of a reason to believe the hint had some validity. Despite last season's suspension, DeAndre Hopkins is a super talented receiver and would give Josh Allen a #1 receiver in Stefon Diggs and an older #1A in Hopkins...with something to prove. In addition, Hopkins would like to win a Super Bowl. Talbot reported that Hopkins could be acquired for as little as a fifth-round draft pick in 2023 and sixth-rounder in 2024. Wait, there is another side of the coin.

Currently, DeAndre Hopkins comes with a $19.45 million cap hit. The Bills are in no position to take on that kind of salary. However, those cap numbers can be kicked down the road with contract restructuring. Hopkins is 30 years old and has played 19 games over the last two season. Now, last season following his suspension, Hopkins stayed on the field and produced decent numbers in a dysfunctional offense. There is not a doubt those numbers would improve with Josh Allen throwing the ball. Will the Bills make the move?

Bills GM Joe Schoen knows that windows to win close quickly in the NFL. Buffalo's roster and salary situation isn't going to get much better in the next few years. DeAndre Hopkins added to their mix would be a defensive nightmare for Bills' opponents. The salary cap is the issue. With teams like the Bills, it always is.
