Their anniversary comes at the perfect time, as it falls just days before the start of the 2024 NFL season. With the new league year on the horizon, NFL fans across the world are preparing to root for their favorite teams for 17 games, if not more.

Michelle Smallmon, meanwhile, does not have a favorite team to root for, and she's prepared to change that.

Smallmon will soon be choosing a favorite NFL team for the 2024 season, and discussed this important life choice during her recent appearance on The Drive with Dan Bahl.

As part of our conversation with Michelle, we pitched her the possibility of becoming a fan of the New York Jets. The arguments in favor of this decision were as follows:

  • It's rare to "become" a Jets' fan, meaning that you'll be surrounded by a loyal fanbase full of life-long fans.
  • The Jets do appear to be headed in the right direction in 2024, and have a chance to win a Super Bowl.
  • They always find a way to surprise you (I added that one in myself).
