Grammy award winning group coming to Albany
If you are a fan of Jazz and R&B music, you surely have heard some of The Wooten Brothers before. Led by bassist Victor Wooden, alongside keyboardist Joseph Wooten, guitarist Regi Wooten, and percussionist Roy Wooten the brothers have seen plenty of success throughout their musical careers. The brothers have a combined 10 Grammy award wins in their 26 nominations during their time performing.
The group most recently came to the Capital Region when they performed at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in 2023 and 2024. Well now they're back! They'll be performing at The Egg later this year on September 19th. Their show is slated to kick off at 7 PM, and should be a phenomenal performance. It will all be held in The Egg's Hart Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at Tixr.

The Wooten brothers' first performed publicly back in 1966 in Hawaii, and very quickly established themselves as prodigies in the music industry. As a family band, they truly are one of the best. Their music is loved worldwide, transcends across centuries, and bends genres to their will.
They first began in R&B before making a change in their evolution, and dove into the art of jazz. They emerged in 1985 following the release of their album "The Wootens". This album combined multiple genres, including electronic, funk, soul, disco, and boogie. Yet this was only a small sample of what the Wooten Brothers could do. The Wooten's are capable of all that, plus classical, jazz, country, rock and roll. The Brothers are a true Swiss army knife when it comes to their musical ability. This is a concert you will not want to miss later this year!
