Ensure Your Children’s Safety In The Car With New York State Police
Road safety is no laughing matter. Every day we all get behind the wheel of a multi-ton hunk of metal that travels at incredibly fast speeds. These are dangerous.
The concept of driving gets even scarier when you factor children into the equation, which is why New York State Police want to work with you to keep your kids safe.

Why Car Seats Matter
Depending on your age, when you were a child, you likely rode around in a car seat until you were around five or six years old. These weren't just so you could see out the window, they're incredibly important for child safety.
These seats can reduce fatalities by up to 71% for infants, and up to 54% for toddlers. It's vital that you use the correct seat for your child, as everyone is different, and certain car seats may be more effective for you than others.
Picking the Right Car Seat
It can be a challenge, figuring out which car seat is the correct one for your child, which is why New York State Police are here to help. On February 11th from 4 to 7p.m. at NYS Police Troop G Headquarters (760 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, NY) Child Passenger Safety Technicians will help you prepare your car seat properly.
These specialists will also be able to answer any questions you may have about the process. An appointment is required to partake, which you can schedule by contacting Troop G Traffic at 518-783-3258.
If you are a parent with a young child, this event could literally help save their life.
