Large Fire Destroys Barn at Popular Orchard

On Tuesday, a large fire sadly destroyed what owners called the main barn at a popular orchard in Upstate New York.  Dramatic photos and video show a fully engulfed structure and fighter fighters dangerously trying to salvage what they could under the extreme conditions.

Samascott Orchards, one of the Capital Region's most popular orchards in Kinderhook, lost its main barn in a structure fire on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post by the 4th generation family farm.
