Former Shen Standout ‘Stunned’ by News of Blockbuster NBA Trade
Kevin Huerter Traded from Sacramento to Chicago
Less than one week after having retired his high school basketball jersey and placed in the rafters of the basketball gym at Shenendehowah High School in Clifton Park, guard Kevin Huerter was traded.
According to several sources, the NBA guard nicknamed "Red Velvet" was sent packing from the Sacramento Kings to the Chicago Bulls as part of a blockbuster three-team NBA trade on Sunday.
Who's Going Where?
According to SI.com, Huerter's previous team, the Kings, sent star guard De'Aaron Fox to the Spurs for Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first-round picks, and three second-round picks.
'I'm stunned'
Huerter, honored in his hometown of Clifton Park just last week, posted just two words on X Sunday after the news was delivered, writing, "I'm stunned."
Huerter has a chance to suit up for his new team on Tuesday night when the Bulls take on the Miami Heat in Chicago.
