Country Star Turned Minister To Make Clifton Park Speaking Appearance
Country singer turned minister Granger Smith will make a special local speaking appearance next month.
If you are not familiar with Granger's story maybe you are wondering what led him to such a big turn in his life.
For years Granger was known for his Country hits like 'Backroad Song' and 'If the Boot Fits' along with all the success of his alter ego Earl Dibbles, Jr. Then back in 2019, Granger had to navigate every parent's worst nightmare: the tragic loss of his son River due to a drowning accident. While reconciling the tragic loss of his son, Granger Smith turned to his faith to find comfort and move forward. In 2023 he told Entertainment Tonight that his journey is what led him to leave behind his Country music career to pursue ministry and spend more time with his family. Granger also wrote a very honest and revealing book about his experiences called Like a River: Finding the Faith and Strength to Move Forward After Loss and Heartache.
Now Granger Smith the minister will be making a special local appearance to tell his story.
