Who says you can't go home? A Saturday Night Live alum and comedy legend recently popped in to their Upstate New York alma mater for a fall visit.

He is a comedy and Saturday Night Live legend, and has had a pretty legendary acting career as well.! Funny thing is, usually this time of year we usually start seeing a lot more Chevy Chase everywhere. We start watching 'Christmas Vacation' on repeat, not to mention the comedy legend will return to the Palace Theatre in Albany this year for a special screening of the movie and Q and A session.

This year, you can add a NEW Christmas movie to the mix. Chevy plays a role in the new holiday film 'The Christmas Letter' which will be released on November 9th on streaming services and DVD.

In addition to all the holiday movie fun, the comedy icon has been spending some time enjoying the autumn colors in Upstate New York at his college alma mater.

Chevy Chase was recently back in Upstate New York spending some time with family and friends at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, located a little bit south of Saugerties.

Chevy joked in his Facebook post about the visit saying "...the campus is still as when I was there in 1912." He also shouted out some of his Bard classmates, which included Donald Fagen of the legendary rock band 'Steely Dan.'

According to Britannica, Chevy earned  a degree in English from Bard back 1967 and while at the college he and Fagen actually performed in a band together called Leather Canary with fellow Steely Dan member Walter Becker.

I've lived here my entire life, and I'm not sure I realized how beautiful the Empire State is. There's no shortage of stunning landscapes and breathtaking views throughout the great State of New York, especially this time of year!

It doesn't matter where you live, or where you travel, New York residents are never far from a gorgeous beach, a picturesque state park, or an awe-inspiring mountain.

In 2018, a photographer named Demetri Andritsakis made a 3-and-a-half-minute drone video called "Upstate New York By Air" that highlighted many of New York's breathtaking views.

Andritsakis submitted it to the 2018 New York State Fair Drone Film Festival, and deservedly so, he received a Gold Medal honor for his aerial work throughout upstate New York.
