Hunting Trip Argument Turns Deadly In Upstate New York
Family can be difficult to handle. As much as we love our relatives, sometimes they can be a lot. This goes doubly for siblings, who seem built in a lab to get on your every nerve.
It's in these moments of stress and anger you have to keep your cool, but unfortunately, emotions can sometimes boil to a breaking point.

Shooting in Allen
This all starts with three brothers. Scot, Mark, and David Thompson went out on a late fall hunting trip in the town of Allen, NY. The three were staying in a hunting cabin just off of Botsford Hollow Road.
At some point on November 23rd, the three got into an argument that escalated to a physical fight. During this, one of the three men called 911 to report the disturbance, but before troopers could arrive, Scot picked up a rifle, and shot his two brothers dead.
The Aftermath
Scot immediately grabbed David's keys, and fled in his car. Luckily, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office knew what they were looking for. Alongside Geneseo Police Department, they located the car, and arrested Scot with no incident in the early morning of November 24th.
Scot was transferred to Allegany County Jail, where he awaits his Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP Arraignment). He is being charged with two counts of Murder in the 2nd Degree and two counts of 1st Degree Criminal Use of a Firearm. He was initially dismissed as just a "person of interest", but now has enough stacked against him he is being accused of the crime.
