Legendary Lake George Pub And Grub To Close For Good
It's hard to believe my 10th anniversary is fast approaching here at 107.7 GNA.
When I reflect on those 10 years, so many cool memories pop up. All the great songs we have shared over the years, great concerts like Secret Star and Countryfest, and most importantly, the great people I have spent time with and met along the way.
My first full summer at WGNA back in 2016 was full of great 'first' memories, including the first WGNA bar event I ever got to work in the Lake George area. It was at a little unassuming spot on Glen Lake, which became one of many great nights that summer, just getting to know you and GNA nation. (I jokingly call it the "Summer of Matty" because my whole family had yet to make the move out to the Capital Region, so I got to spend more nights than usual partying it up a bit!)
Popular Lake George Bar & Grill Announces Plan To Close Its Doors
That first bar event was at Full Moon Bar and Grill on Glen Lake Road in Lake George, and I see the still frames vividly in my mind because I remember not only having a blast with some great Country people, but also the relaxed atmosphere and great eats as well. Many have enjoyed Full Moon for all the reasons above over the years, and those good times will unfortunately come to an end this weekend.
The Full Moon Bar and Grill revealed on its Facebook page yesterday (Monday, September 15) that it will close for good this Sunday, September 21st. Here is what the owner Adam, had to say:
It comes with a heavy heart that The Full Moon will be closing Sunday nightc(Sept 21, 2025). It has been a journey that lasted over 27 years. The day-to-day work has become too overwhelming for me, and I believe it is time for a change. Catering and private parties will still be available.
I would like to thank all of my employees and customers throughout the years. Your support has been incredible, and I hope it continues to carry forward.~Adam
Fans showed an outpouring of support and appreciation in the Facebook comments, a testament to how beloved it is and how much it will be missed!
