Legends Headline Upstate New York Comedy Festival this Summer

Lineup Announced for Upstate Comedy Fest

Get ready for big stars and even bigger laughs as two legends in the comedy industry are set to headline the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in Upstate New York this summer.

This week, the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, New York, announced the lineup for the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, taking place from August 7th to 10th at Northwest Arena.

Ball, a Western New York native, was born in Jamestown, New York, in 1911. She landed her first professional acting job at the age of 15 and went on to become an award-winning American actress, comedian, producer, and studio executive.

Legends Jon Stewart and Bill Murray Headline the Festival

According to the National Comedy Center, both Jon Stewart and Bill Murray will perform on separate evenings.

“An Evening with Jon Stewart” will take place on Saturday, August 9, with Stewart bringing his "incisive stand-up comedy to the stage."

On Sunday, August 10, a Stand-Up Showcase will be followed by a Rock ‘n’ Blues concert featuring Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers, which will feature a "live blues and classic rock performance along with stand-up by some of today’s top talent from around the country," according to the press release.

Now in its 35th year, the festival has featured some of comedy’s greatest stars and rising young comedians, including Jerry Seinfeld, Lily Tomlin, Nate Bargatze, Jeff Foxworthy, Sebastian Maniscalco, Ellen DeGeneres, Dan Aykroyd, Joan Rivers, and hundreds of others over the years.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets for “An Evening with Jon Stewart” and “Stand-Up Showcase Featuring Music by Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers” will go on pre-sale for National Comedy Center members Friday, April 25, at 10 am ET through Thursday, May 1.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. ET at ComedyCenter.org.

Both events will take place at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown, NY.
