State Police in New York are searching for a 16-year-old teen who was last seen in the central portion of Upstate New York on Wednesday morning.

Police say they've searched "multiple locations" to no avail and warn residents not to approach if they see him.

Police Search for Teen; Could be Armed and Dangerous

According to a press release, the New York State Police is actively searching for Brenden M. Warner, age 16, who was last seen by a family member at his residence in the town of Clay at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Clay is in the central portion of Upstate New York, about 2 hours northwest of Albany.

Description of Brenden Warner

  • White male with fair skin
  •  5’7” tall, 130 lbs
  •  Brown hair, blue eyes
  •  Last seen wearing a black cap, red hoodie, and black or red pants
  • Carrying a red designer backpack
  • Police think that he could be somewhere in the Syracuse area

Where is He?

State Police say Warner was last seen on foot but may have obtained a car since his disappearance, and they warn against approaching him.

"WARNING: Brenden is believed to be armed with a weapon and may be in distress.
Multiple locations have been checked, with negative results, " State Police added.
If you see Brenden or know his whereabouts, immediately contact 911.
