The ten-dollar New York Lottery scratch-off ticket has many ways to win a lot of money. But if you scratch off to reveal just one "life" symbol, you win the top prize. $5,000 a week for life.
According to the New York Lottery, the winner is Jessica Terpenning of Cobleskill. She walked into the Stewart's Shop at 526 Highway 20 in Sharon Springs. She revealed the LIFE symbol and cashed in for $5000 a week for life.
Jessica Terpenning, according to the New York Lottery, is guaranteed a minimum payout of $5 million. Terpenning chose to receive her winnings through a lump sum payment of $3,367,702, after required taxes.

In February, there was another Capital Region winner. Jessica Koonce of Clifton Park. walked into the Stewart's Shop at 246 South Street in Mechanicville. She revealed a life symbol and cashed in $10,000 a week for life. She chose to collect $338,520 a year for life.
