New York State Police are investigating another Malta shooting earlier today.

According to a Facebook post from state police, the shooting took place while troopers were looking into a domestic incident at the Ellsworth Apartments on Route 9. The suspect is deceased and 2 troopers suffered minor injuries. Authorities say "...this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public."

Today's shooting is the second in 2 days in the Malta area.

Yesterday a gunman opened fire on the state police barracks. That suspect is also deceased after exchanging gunfire with police.
