A vacant Clifton Park restaurant will be coming back to life with some old-world Italian fare.

One of the things I love about Clifton Park is pretty much any chain store or restaurant you can think of, we have it. But the only negative to that is some days there are just not enough LOCAL bars and eateries to grab a great meal or a drink at.

The good news is that the pendulum is making a swing in a direction that gives us more local options. 518 Donuts opened last year, we have our very own Druther's opening later this month, and now if you are a Clifton Park resident you can add a new Italian restaurant to the mix! And it will be opening in a very familiar location!

If you have lived in Clifton Park, chances are at some point you ate at the Brick (pictured above) before they closed their Clifton Country Road CP location to make the move to Saratoga Springs. Well some great news for this spot: the owners of an old-world-inspired Italian restaurant in Connecticut will be opening a 2nd location at the vacant eatery across the street from the Hannaford Plaza.

The Painted Lemon Announces Clifton Park Restaurant

According to Albany Business Review (ABR), the chef that runs Connecticut-based Italian restaurant "The Painted Lemon" is planning to relocate to the Capital Region and will be opening another location at the old Brick location with an identical menu. The menu includes classics like chicken parm and chicken marsala, an impressive lineup of seafood and pizzas, and so much more. The Painted Lemon website describes the eatery as "...an extraordinary culinary experience....(featuring)...old-world Italian recipes."

This is exactly the type of restaurant we need in Clifton Park. When we want local and unique, this is the type of menu and restaurant that will simply be a home run.

The new Painted Lemon Restaurant is targeting an October 10th opening date, according to ABR.
