Earlier this year we reported that 10 Red Lobster locations in New York would be closing for good, including the Ulster, NY location. Shortly following this announcement, television personality, John Oliver placed the winning bid of an online auction to purchase all of the contents of this Red Lobster.

One Hudson Valley bakery came out on the losing end of the online auction but they were not deterred. Oliver challenged Deising's Bakery to create John Oliver Cake Bears in exchange for new kitchen equipment. They did and Oliver delivered! Now the bakery is on to their next project and this one is POLLarizing.

Deising's Bakery, 111 North Front Street in Kingston, has created "Election Cookies". Not only can you purchase a Trump/Vance cookie, you can purchase a Harris/Walz cookie. Deising's will conduct a "fun cookie poll" by tracking sales of each.

Deising's Bakery will continue to see their election cookies through Election Day keeping track of which side sells the most. You can track updates each Tuesday via the bakery's Facebook page.
