cover songs

In honor of the recent (and what I feel is an amazing) cover of Kansas' "Carry On Wayward Son" by Anthrax, I was thinking about what other covers are out there that I love.  And by love, I mean that rock AS much or are even better than their original version...

Since the beginning of music, people have been doing their own renditions of other bands songs. 6 out of the 14 songs on The Beatles first album were cover songs. We are still hearing them today from bands like Five Finger Death Punch (House of the Rising Sun, Bad Company) and Halestorm (Get Lucky)...

Check out this dude just pounding through Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in the style of 20 different artists. Ever wonder what it would have sounded like if "Thriller" was a song performed by Ozzy Osborne, the Spice Girls or Avenged Sevenfold...
