The daughter of Jani Lane has lashed out at his ex-manager for seeking a commission for monies received by the late Warrant singer's estate in a statement.

Today we remember Warrant frontman Jani Lane. He died of acute alcohol poisoning at the age of 47 on this day (Aug. 11, 2011).

It was back in August when we got word that former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane had been found dead in his hotel room in California.  The coroner's office has finished conducting it's investigation and have determined an official cause of death.

Last week it was a huge shock to the music world when former Warrant singer Jani Lane was found dead in his hotel room.  An episode of VH1 Classic's That Metal Show featuring the late singer was scheduled for later this year, but it's air date will now be moved up.

Warrant lead singer Jani Lane was found dead last night in a California Hotel Room.  Best known for singing the 80's hair band anthem  'Cherry Pie' died from unknown causes at the age of 47.  It is a sad day in rock when we lose one of a rock genre.
