Months after Cafe Hollywood was shutdown it looks like a new business is moving in for 2025.

The problems on Lark Street in Albany are nothing new, but after a slew of violence over the weekend resulting to closing of one business another Lark Street business owner is speaking up.

There are two coffee shops of the same name in the Capital Region that have been around for decades. One is located on 3rd Street in Troy and the other is on Lark Street in Albany. They aren't just coffee shops, they are gathering places, eateries, and part of the community. One of them has closed forever.

Get ready downtown Albany, you are going to get a scratch bakery. A well-known scratch bakery has been part of local farmers' markets and special pick-up and delivery orders. Now Nyx: A Scratch Baking Company is going into a storefront.

I see a lot of unusual things living in the Center Square portion of Albany, but this one is a bit of head scratcher.  My girlfriend Samantha texted me a picture of a rather strange public apology letter, typed and placed on a street light pole on the corner of State St. and Lark Street in Albany on Saturday.

Looking for new places to hang out in Albany? Well, a new place is coming and the owners' names may look familiar.

With craft beer being so popular, you now will be able to indulge and buy some brew at a new store set to open in Downtown Albany.

LarkFEST a 35 year tradition for downtown Albany, will have a special act playing there this year.

The next time you walk or drive down Lark Street, look around, take it all in, a 'documentary' was filmed there.

Normally when my boss, Rob Dawes, asks me if I own a speedo, I wonder how much eggnog he's had.  However, this weekend, I knew it could only be for one thing:  The 6th Annual Santa Speedo Sprint!
