Anthrax have opted to headline the Jagermeister stage as oppose to playing on the main stage at this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, in order to deliver a special high-energy show for fans this summer.

Metalheads unite!!! Slipknot and Slayer have been announced as headliners to the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.  The festival which will trek across the country with 25 dates will also be making a stop in the Capital Region on July 31st.  Find out who else is on the list.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is one of the most anticipated and biggest music festivals of the summer.  The band lineup will be announced on Wednesday January 25th.  Godsmack and Disturbed were headliners last year so who is rumored to be on it this year? One thing is certain, the Mayhem Festival will be making a stop in Capital Region on July 31st.

The dates for the 2012 Rockstar Mayhem Festival have been announced, however the bands that are playing won't be announced until January.   We do know one thing July 31st, the festival that is known as the successor to Ozzfest will be in Saratoga.

One of the summer festivals that we have been able to count on since 2008 is the Mayhem festival and this years lineup does not disappoint.
