If you travel in the Clifton Park area you already know how congested it is Chick-fil-A is open and a Bass Pro Shop is under construction in that area. Now plans are to develop the old Kmart site in Shoppers World Plaza.

Last fall, it was announced that there would be a hotel built on a legendary property in Lake George Village. Those plans have changed and the owners have decided to turn the property into condominiums.

Construction begins next month for the legendary Longfellows Hotel and Restaurant to be reimagined as Brookmere Resort. After twenty-five years, Longfellows closed last November.

It looks like there will be roundabouts built in a busy stretch of roadway in downtown Troy. Officials say there will finally be a gateway into downtown Troy that is safe for cyclists, pedestrians, and commuters.

Everyone who has been in Schenectady recently knows the amount of new construction that is being built. There are also new apartment complexes, restaurants, and other venues that have been constructed in the past few years. Now another mixed-use building will be built on a busy corner downtown.

The plan to build a Costco Wholesale store near Crossgates Mall has been in the works for three years. There has been a lot of resistance and red tape but now there is a major development that could get the wholesale store built.

There was a proposal for an apartment complex more than three years ago on a piece of land next to Crossgates Mall. Lawsuits delayed the project, but they are finally breaking ground.

It will be the first Chick-fil-A (outside of the Albany International Airport) built in the Capital Region. The Clifton Park Chick-fil-A is moving full steam ahead. The new Chick-fil-A is being built where the old Pier 1 store once was near Clifton Park Center. The plan is to open in March or April.

Rumors had been swirling for quite some time about Brick House Tavern & Tap closing and now it's official. But there are more rumors. It appears that there is a popular restaurant that may be moving into its location.

The old Friendly's that closed in 2011 and became Crispy Basil Artisan Pizza which also shuttered in 2016 will now become a new cafe and cocktails concept on Western Avenue in Albany. This unique picturesque spot will be called The Scene Coffee & Cocktails.

After major retailer Bed Bath & Beyond closed locations across the country, many of those shuttered stores remain empty. There is an empty one in Albany County that is being transformed into a new HomeGoods store.

There are two restaurants that are eyesores in a very busy section of Schenectady. In an effort to revitalize the city, these two buildings will be demolished soon.
