Just when it seems that big retailers are leaving the Capital Region, a popular retailer will add its fourth location. Burlington will be replacing an empty Buy Buy Baby location soon.

Crossgates Mall is getting a new tenant. This time it's a huge outdoor recreation store. They carry everything from hiking, camping, cycling gear, and more. It will be the outdoor recreation company's fourth store in New York State.

At the beginning of 2023, the Dick's Sporting Goods Store in Latham temporarily closed along with the Field & Stream Store next door. Now a grand opening is planned for the end of the month.

It seems that the malls in the area and across the country are changing into entertainment complexes. When Sears moved out of Colonie Center back in 2017, it appeared that nothing would ever take that space. Now a store is moving in and it has nothing to do with entertainment.

Cannabis dispensaries are slowly opening all over New York State. After the first one, Upstate Canna Co, opened earlier this month on Upper Union Street in Schenectady, the second dispensary will be opening in the Captial Region soon.

After nearly a decade, one of the busiest roads in the Troy/Brunswick area is finally opening a popular discount grocery store. The new ALDI Grocery Store will open soon.

Schenectady will be closing one of its grocery stores today, Wednesday, September 14th to make way for another one in Rotterdam that will open tomorrow, Thursday, September 15th. It has been a long time coming and residents are excited.

Avengers assemble! Fans of comic books in the Capital Region are getting an all new comic book shop to read all about their favorite heroes.

In Clifton Park Stewart's Shop is starting construction on a new 3,700 square foot store on Route 9.

It could be bottles of vitamins, humidifiers, PVC pipe cutters, remote control cars, drones, laptops, ear buds, electric scooters, video game controllers, fidget spinners, smartphones, smartphone cases and on and on.

There are a bunch of buildings for sale or rent on Wolf Road. It was just announced that a new retailer will take over one of them, the old Toys R Us/Babies R Us location.

On Friday a developer confirmed two businesses that he plans to bring to Clifton Park and Chick Fil A is one of them.
