Northway

I know you noticed it, it's Capital Region lore at this point. You're driving on the Northway passing Exit 5...Exit 4...and all of a sudden you're at Exit 2. You knew it didn't exist but have you ever wondered why we have no Exit 3?

If you were driving home yesterday and thought it was odd that exit 4 wasn't dumping off the kind of volume onto the Northway as usual, here is why.

You have seen multiple stories about the re-emergence of Frontier Town in the last few years, well now those proposed thoughts are being transformed into reality.

As someone like many in the Capital Region that has a 30 plus minute commute to and from work everyday, there are a lot of roads that flat out anger me.

I can still remember the Chuck E. Cheese's in the Northway Mall, the game parlor, the concert hall where you ate and how I was always too terrified by the singing robots to eat so I cried instead.

We drive it everyday. We have also come to know and hate the road that is the Northway. Here are a few simple rules nobody seems to follow.

Apparently a study was done of Exit 11 and 12 that shows adding another exit would solve alot of problems. The problem is cost. Here is how they will get around it.

We have all seen it once or twice. Someone driving on the Northway going 100 mph, and you think, what's the rush? Well, in this case "the rush" was woman in labor!

Traffic is closed on the Northway following a bus crash and police have confirmed one fatality in the accident. The bus was transporting the St. Michael's College Lacrosse team to a game in Long Island when the accident occurred.
