There is something majestic when you can ice skate, snowmobile, snowshoe, or even walk on one of the beautiful bodies of water in the Capital Region. But as temperatures start to fluctuate, it is important to be reminded to be ready for anything when heading out on the ice. A woman was snowshoeing on Saratoga Lake and an alert neighbor happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Here's another crazy story from Thursday's snowstorm. First, we had the crazy story of the 12-year-old girl that was buried by a family member that was plowing snow, and now a story about a man's car was buried in the snow by a plow with him in it.

What's a greater gift than doing something good, and getting love in return.  There are so many lovable cats and dogs available in the Capital Region that need a home this holiday season, and why not bring one home!  I always think about animal adoptions around the holidays, as all of my cats are rescues ...
