It seemed only fitting that at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods Awards, members of Slipknot – Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson and M. Shawn Crahan – would be on hand to present the award in the brand new Paul Gray Best Bassist category. The award was named in honor of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray who died in May 2010 from a drug overdose.
Slipknot took away the prize for Comeback of the Year at the Revolver Golden Gods. Wearing black armbands with the No. 2 on them — paying tribute to their fallen bandmate Paul Gray — members of Slipknot accepted the award from Dino Cazares and Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory.
