There's a liquidation sale going on just in time to stock up on sports goods for the summer. A local staple, sporting goods store 'Goldstock's Sporting Goods' closed its doors and now inventory is being liquidated.  News Channel 13 reported that their liquidation sale has kicked off...

Retail workers rejoice! Last year, amidst the growing retail madness in recent years, some more stores were actually closing for the Thanksgiving holiday this year.  This year, the number has gone up from 70 stores to about 100! I caught site of a post by News 10 abc about a number of retailers announcing that they will in fact be closed on Thanksgiving this year ...

Every time I bring Ryan to the Little League fields, we pass this huge building that is run down and dilapidated. We always talk about how they should knock it down and rebuild something there. Well now, that is just what is planned.

It's always so sad when a local landmark closes let alone are completely destroyed.

It only took about 20 years but it looks like the Van Rensselaer Plaza might finally get built and get some business in there.

I supposed we are kind of pampered in this day and age with many stores and restaurants being open 24 hours. There are still a few I would like to see be open all day.

In the last few years we here in the capital region have seen a lot of big businesses come in, however there are still a lot who have yet to set up shop here.
