Well the first 'Top Rock Song' poll of the year has come to a close and Five Finger Death Punch's hit single "The Pride" has been declared the winner. They dueled it out all month long with Avenged Sevenfold's "Carry On" and managed to stay on top to win the first title for 2013. Enjoy the music video after the jump!

Congratulations to our home girl Maria Brink and her fellow band mates from In This Moment, as their hit single "Blood," off of their newest album of the same name, has won the title of 'Top Rock Song' for the month of November here at Q103. She has come a long way and deserves this recognition, as does her band. Enjoy the music video after the jump, I know I sure did!

Shelly Wahrlich of Schenectady is a Q103 Rock-A-Holic, she used her points to win a pair of tickets to see Van Halen at the TD Garden in Boston that past Sunday night. Shelly and her husband Karl went to the show and took some photos for us to share here. She said that Van Halen sounded great band wise but David Lee Roth kept forgetting the lyrics.

Last nights Emmy Awards were one of the most entertaining award ceremonies that I have seen in a long time.  The cast and crew from Modern Family once again came away the big winners overall.

Cowboys & Aliens was suppose to be the next big summer box office winner, but they get some unexpected competition from some little blue guys that hit the big screen this past weekend too.

Darla Cherry of Mechanicville got the concert experience of a lifetime.  She rode the 360 degree Drum Kit Roller Coaster with Tommy Lee from Motley Crue.  The Crue played SPAC on Saturday night and right after 'Same Ole Situation' Darla was strapped in.  See the video.
