America’s Best Gas Stations Are Nowhere Near Upstate New York

The 10 best gas station in the United States have been ranked, but unfortunately not a single one of them is in Upstate New York.

Whether you're planning a road trip or just need to get some gas or your favorite snack you know exactly where you're favorite gas station is. The neighborhood one has always been there for you and you've become very loyal to it. Is it one of America's favorite ones?

In the Capital Region we have our beloved Stewart's locations and you know exactly which one is your favorite. Across Upstate New York there are several other locations people frequent like Speedway, Cumberland Farms, even 7-Eleven has those people who need a slurpee every single day. However none of the above mentioned places are on the USA Today list of best gas stations in America.

Best Gas Stations

When you think of best and biggest gas stations the one that comes to mind for me is Buc-ee's. Based in Texas and spread across a decent chunk of the South it has no locations near New York, but that's not stopped New Yorkers from being fully obsessed.

I was surprised to see Buc-ee's only ranked at number 10 on this list.

Another big gas station that most on the east coast frequent would be Wawa. If you've been on a car ride through New Jersey or Pennsylvania you have stopped here. It also did not make this list, which really shocks me.

The USA today rankings were based on cleanliness of bathrooms, freshness of the coffee, snack options being readily available, and other criteria.

The list includes in order from 10-1, Buc-ee's, QuickTrip, TravelCenters of America, Rutter's, Maverik, RaceTrac, Royal Farms, Casey's, Hy-Vee and that only leaves one last option.

Number One Gas Station

The number one rated gas station in America is KwikTrip, which has no locations near New York State. It's a Wisconsin based store with 800 locations, according to USA Today's rankings. They're known for the glazed donuts and they look absolutely amazing.

It's a little disappointing that none of these locations are in Upstate New York, but we really don't have to be sad. Not as long as we've got bacon egg and cheese, a ;int of Mint Cookie Crumble and a hot blueberry coffee from Stewart's. No one else can compare to that.
