The movie “A Quiet Place” with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski was a huge hit in 2018. It was one of the absolutely one of the most stressful movies I’ve ever sat through. Obviously, the movie is mostly done in silence, but the audience was absolutely hushed. You could just feel the tension. I can’t wait for the second movie.

Once again John Krasinski is directing and he will be shooting this week in upstate New York. Specifically, north of Buffalo in several locations including Akron, 10 days of filming will take place in Chautauqua County, two days in Dutchess County and one day in Ulster County. I’m wondering if Niagara Falls works into the storyline somehow.

The Post-Journal reports the production will feature 300 background actors working a total of 1,335 shoot days, create 400 hires and invest more than $10 million in Upstate New York.

The small town has been transformed into a post-apocalyptic landscape for the filming. Not much is known about the plot for “A Quiet Place 2”, but we know that Emily Blunt is back as well as Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as the children. A Quiet Place 2 is set to open March 20th, 2020.

So, if you’re looking for something to do over the next few weeks it might be worth a drive north of Buffalo to see if you can catch a glimpse of the crew shooting.
