If you've been feeling like the Capital Region athletes have been starting to truly flourish you're not alone. With guys like Ian Anderson, Tommy Khanle, and Jeff Hoffman all pitching in the MLB while UAlbany's Jarren Williams is playing special teams for the New York Giants and Kevin Huerter in balling for the Atlanta Hawks just to name a few, we have another Section 2 product doing big things. 17-year-old Kassir "Mazzi" Goldston just scored his first professional knockout!

While 2020 has hit a lot of us harder than a straight right from Kasir, he's been seeing years of hard work pay off. In July Goldston signed with Top Rank boxing, made his pro debut with a unanimous decision victory over Isaiah Varnell in September, and now scored a second-round TKO over Llewelyn McClamy on December 12th on ESPN+.

To say the future is bright for this young man would be an understatement. I can't wait to see what's next for "Mazzi" and just how far he can go. With his father Tysuan Goldston as his coach and J Prince as his manager along with clear talent and dedication, we could have a champion fighter repping Albany in the near future.
