Albany Empire Win Again in Stellar Form
Our hometown team has been performing great in the 2019 season and have picked up another win this week.
This week was a slight bit different than the last two games they had played. First off it was their first game of the year to be played outside of the Times Union Center. Second off they dominated on offense.
And in stellar fashion the Albany Empire Quarterback Tommy Grady accomplished a feat that is near impossible. He posted up a perfect quarterback rating. I have never seen a QB actually be able to do this. A perfect 153.8. I am certainly not going to get into all of the math and statistics of how that number is formed, but what he did is definitely not easy.
Now the Empire improve to 3-0 on the season after a 57-48 beat down against the Philadelphia Soul.
Coach Rob Keefe had this to say,
"It's a big win on the road," Keefe said. "It's our first road game. It happened to be against, in my opinion, the best team in the Arena Football League. We happened to beat them on their surface. We're going to play again, probably see each other down the line in the playoffs or the Arena Bowl. You never know how this is going to shake out." - Times Union.
