Winter has already made an early impression on the Capital Region. Before Thanksgiving we were hit with some brutally low temperatures, and after the holiday we got nearly eight inches of snow dumped on the area. It has been an eventful first couple weeks of December and the fun isn't over yet.

Brace yourselves because cold air has arrived and once that's moved through we're expected to get a little bit of snow. The week ahead for us in Upstate New York will be a roller coaster ride. I hope you guys can handle that.

Brutal Cold Moves In

Monday night will be a cold one for all of us, and for some of New York it will be below freezing temperature. Make sure not to leave any pets outside. The cold air will last with us until Tuesday when it warms up to the mid 20s.

According to WNYT, Tuesday night into Wednesday could see a bit of snow for our area. That's followed by another chance of light snow on Saturday. Don't do what I did during the last storm and forget to get gas for your snowblower. That was a rookie move.

Temperature wise, if you were hoping for it to get out of the 30s anytime soon you are out of luck. It looks the 37 is the highest we will get for at least the next week or so. Bundle up and make sure you've got plenty of coffee to keep you warm.
