With inflation and the economy, has the Capital Region backed off on ordering take out food?

Like many of you sometimes I need a break from cooking. Plus there are some things that I just can't replicate at home. That's where ordering takeout comes into play.

I try not to go over a budget, because I am a "responsible" adult, but sometimes it's hard when places are making things so damn delicious. I swear I am addicted to that moonshine sauce from Juniors. I'll put it on anything.

However takeout has gotten to be a bit costly. We discussed this on Tuesday's show and many of you chimed in with the same sentiment over on our Facebook page. You've cut back on ordering takeout because it has really put a dent in your wallets. I think all of us can agree with that.

Here is what some of you had to say on this matter

"I stopped since the rates have gone through the roof. I've been cooking more and meal prepping more. Saving a ton of money" - Jason

"On occasion, not often. Last time I ordered something for curbside pick up, they automatically added a 15% tip to the bill! Good thing I caught it to change it! It was $13 for someone to walk out a bag for me! I don’t think so!" - Robin

"Delivery has gotten very expensive....so I've gone from 4 times a month to twice a month." - Patrick

I'll say that I have gone from a multiple times a week guy to maybe once a week at the most. The quality of the food from these laces is still top notch, but it's the cost that has gotten me to cut way back. Even on the healthier options.

The Capital Region's 10 Best Burgers [RANKED]

Ground beef patty, bun, toppings, and condiments. Sounds simple, right? Far from it! A perfect burger is an art form and just like a great painting, each brush stroke of ingredients is essential to the final product. The chef is the artist, and there are the best restaurants in the Capital Region for a burger masterpiece.
