Sports are a weird thing, and people have their rituals when it comes to cheering for their teams. We've heard of sports curses before, but this one could be a game changer for all of New York after this sudden betrayal by the Buffalo Bills.

For my entire life I've heard Buffalo Bills fans brag about being the only true New York football team. That's because the Jets and Giants both play their games in New Jersey. You would think that would mean that the Buffalo Bills would have a bit of New York pride. However it turns out their rooting against the Yankees in the MLB playoffs.

The post heard round New York

The caption says it all. The Buffalo Bills have decided to abandon New York and instead cheer for not only a Canadian team but a division rival of the New York Yankees. If the Blue Jays weren't playing the Yankees I could see this message going out. It's a neighborly thing to do. But not when you're always talking about being the only real New York football team.

I get that it's a tricky situation. You're closer to Canada than you are New York City. There's a good relationship there. I just feel this is just a very odd move from them.

If you believe in curses (and I am pretty sure that I do) this move has backfired on the Bills, but also has somehow brought the negative energy to the Yankees. Some kind of supernatural thing is going on be cause the Yankees has dropped the first two games of the ALDS after being red hot. The Bills also lost, dropping to 4-1 after losing to their rival, The Patriots. Now could you imagine in the Yankees had wished the Pats good luck? Everyone would implode.

Until the Buffalo Bills make this right, the bad eye is on all New York teams. Not only did the Bills and Yankees lose, but so did the Jets and Giants. Not to say tat the Jets and Giants may not have lost on their own, but the sporting gods are doing something funky right now.
