The cover artwork for the album Animals has generated as much attention as the music itself. Battersea Power Station in London, the building pictured on the cover, and a flying pig soon became part of the Pink Floyd landscape.
The inflatable pig, named Algie, was superimposed on the album cover. Several attempts were made at getting the right photo for the cover but legend has it, Algie broke free and flew away. This pig has become something fans anticipate seeing at Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, and perhaps even Brit Floyd shows ever since.
