Do you have something on the side you're doing to make a little extra money? Some anonymous Capital Region listeners shared what they do with us and it was pretty amazing.

Do you have a secret hobby you don't want anyone else to know about? Maybe it's one that actually puts a little extra money into your wallet. That would be the dream, right?

These days nothing is off limits when it comes to having your own small business so to speak, and if you can get a couple of repeat customers you've hit it big. So what exactly are the secret side hustles that some Capital Region residents are doing in order to make ends meet?

When we asked that question on Wednesday we got a few calls and a couple of app messages. Turns out quite a few of you are doing some interesting things to make a buck. I can't condone some of them, but I credit you all with thinking outside of the box!

From our app:

Hey BJ! I'd like to stay anonymous! I graduated in 2023, and I have been working for a general contractor since July last year. I put my 2 weeks in to start a state job. But I called out the last week to start and finish a job by myself and making $2500.

I also got a couple of calls from folks going above and beyond to drum up some customers. What's interesting is that many of you started these side hustles during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Is this what they mean by "idle hands?"

If you've got a secret side hustle you'd like to share, send us a message on the app. Remember you can remain anonymous.
