Caddyshack was directed by Harold Ramis and starred Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray and Ted Knight to name a few. This cult classic is considered one of the funniest sports movies of all time.

On a rainy spring day in the northeast, actor Chevy Chase was traveling along Route 7 in the northwest corner of Connecticut when others in the vehicle noticed a roadside miniature golf spot, that also has batting cages and serves food, named 'Caddie Shack'. He had to stop.

The young girl that greeted Chevy at the window appeared to be a little confused at first but then it all made sense. What a cool moment for the team at Caddie Shack to have Chevy Chase stop in and say hello. The Caddie Shack in Canaan, Connecticut is about 20 minutes from Millerton, New York.

The comedy legend Chevy Chase was one of the original cast members on Saturday Night Live and went on to star in comedy classic movies such as National Lampoon's Vacation, Spies Like Us and Three Amigos. In 2026 CNN Films will release 'I'm Chevy Chase and You're Not'.
