Chris Cornell Cancels His Fourth Concert In A Row Due To Illness
In just 11 days, Chris Cornell is scheduled to play a sold out show at The Egg in Albany, but the question is will the show even happen? He has canceled tonight's show in Miami Beach, Florida, making it the fourth show in a row that he has put a kibosh on.
The Soundgarden and ex-Audioslave frontman has been battling with flu-induced laryngitis, which has forced him to cancel shows in Nashville, Tennessee, Orlando, Tampa and now Miami, Florida. Cornell apparently picked up the flu bug during an October 28 Soundgarden show at New Orleans' The Voodoo Experience show.
Cornell has the next two days off, as he will be traveling to make his South American tour, which kicks off November 9 in Buenos Aires. There is not yet any word on whether or not Cornell will be delaying any of those dates.
Let's hope that he is recovered for the show here in Albany, otherwise, there might be a riot! Chug the cough medicines, teas and herbal refreshments, and suck on those cough and throat drops like they're candy Cornell!
Do you have your tickets for the November 17 show? How will you feel if the show is cancelled?
