Just over a year and a half after reuniting, the classic Misfits lineup will return to New Jersey for their first show in their home state in 35 years! The show take place Saturday, May 19 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., with tickets going on-sale this Friday at 10AM EST via Ticketmaster. Openers will be Suicidal Tendencies and Murphy's Law.

This will be the first East Coast Misfits show with co-founders Glenn Danzig on vocals and Jerry Only on bass since 1983 when they played the Channel Club in Boston, Mass. The last time this lineup performed in New Jersey was 1982 on the Earth A.D. tour. Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, though not listed on the event poster, which can be seen below, will be on guitar, as has been confirmed by the band's official Facebook page. Ex-Slayer and current Dead Cross member Dave Lombardo is expected to continue his role as drummer.

The classic Misfits lineup reunited for the first time in 33 years in 2016, taking part in a pair of Riot Fest performances. They followed that up in late December of last year with shows in Las Vegas, Nev. and Los Angeles, Calif. As for the possibility of new music, Lombardo recently said that while he is a "hired gun" for the band, he thinks they get a bunch of touring under their belt before re-entering the studio.

"Honestly… I'm gonna be brutally honest here. I would suggest for them to tour as much as they can off those original records, because there's some serious magic in those melodies and that songwriting," the drummer said on the MetalSucks Podcast when asked if the Misfits could write new music that lives up to their legendary past.

"I don't know if… With the growth of each musician in that band, their method of songwriting has evolved. So I don't know if that… Unless they maybe bring in a producer that hones them and dials them into… says, 'No, the song is too long now. We're over two minutes. The song's too long. That can't be.' Maybe it can work. But I honestly… Hey, the Misfits are the Misfits. They can do what they want. I'm a hired gun and I'll just stay back. And if they want to record, I'm there," added Lombardo.
