Cop Won’t Let Local Man Keep Pot

This may be a dying breed of stories with the way the country is headed. Even old New York passed a medical marijuana act, but we're no Denver.

A man was driving on Route 30 in Amsterdam, and was pulled over for allegedly violating several vehicle and traffic laws (though none were referenced). The officer asked the driver if he was 'on the weed' and the driver denied it. Well there's your first mistake, always be upfront with law enforcement officers, their jobs are hard enough as it is.

There's no telling what broke him, but the driver admitted to having the gange in the center console. Then it got strange. The driver asked the officer if he would let him keep it. You see, this guy had to wait an hour to get it, and now was on his was to his girlfriends to partake in it.

The driver was issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Amsterdam Court, it's unknown but unlikely if he got to keep his stash.
