The Albany area was in a state of shock late last night as police cars swarmed the Daughters of Sarah nursing home on Washington Ave Ext.  Rumors of a gunman caused mass hysteria, emotions escalating with the arrival of a SWAT team called to the scene.  Luckily, no gunman was found and the situation was labeled as a miscommunication.

Around 5:20 PM last Friday night, the police received a call about a gunman at the Daughters of Sarah nursing home on Washington Ave Ext.  Taking no chances, a hoard of sirens engulfed the nursing home, with a SWAT team ready to handle the situation.  Thankfully, there was no gun on the premises.

According to reports, an employee called his mother and said there was a man with a gun in the nursing home. It appears there was never a gunman at all, just a miscommunication taking place.
