Proctors in Schenectady will be showing the cult classic film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas this Friday.

The comedy film which celebrates it's 20th anniversary this year was released in 1998 and was adopted by the Hunter S. Thompson novel of the same name. Starring Johnny Depp as Raoul Duke and Benicio del Toro as Dr. Gonzo, the movie follows the pair who are on psychoactive drugs, on a road trip to Las Vegas. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was initially a financial failure at the box office, with a budget of $18.5 million and grossing only 13.7 million. That being said, the film has since become a popular cult classic thanks in large part to its release on DVD. Check out the original movie trailer below.

Tickets for the Friday, January 12 7 pm showing of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas can be purchased through proctors.org and the Proctors box office at 518-346-6204.
